What is a Template? TOP

A template is a Design Layout for your web site or online store. The files usually include all images and graphics, along with a coded HTML page with these images put together.

What is WordPress? TOP

WordPress is an Open Source (free for all to use and manipulate) Content Management and Blog System.
 
It is very easy to set up and use for either your website or for your Blog. We provide WordPress Themes so that you can easily change the look of your WordPress site or Blog.

What WebStore Hosts do you work with? TOP

Currently, I work with PappaShop, MerchantMoms and ShoppePro. These are the three that I am most familiar with. However, I welcome the challenge to install your template into other hosted webstores as well - BUT - I cannot guarantee that I would be able to do so. You would be taking on the role as "ginnea pig" by asking me to "try". I would not be able to guarantee the installation, and in the end you "may" end up installing the template on your own.
 
If you are using a different hosted webstore and would like me to take a look at what the install process would be before you purchase, then I would be happy to.

When will you have new Designs available? TOP

You can expect to see 3 to 6 new designs on my site each week. I spend a great deal of time creating Custom Web sites and Blogs for my customers at JustSpiffy.com, but during my "free time" I create unique templates for SpiffyBoutiques.com.

Where do you get your Inspiration? TOP
I am inspired by so many things. Nature, Color, Music. I love Print products such as Magazine ads, scrapbook papers, and designer note paper. I always start with color choices and combinations, then expand them into shapes and textures. Fonts are the icing on the design.

How long have you been designing? TOP

My love of art started at a very early age. After earning an Art Scholarship in high school, I majored in Art and minored in Art History in college. I burnt out on the college experience after one semester of working overnights and studying by day.  I also realized that although I knew I wanted to be an "Artist", I had no idea how to make that an actual "Career".
 
In 1999 I became intriqued with computers and the web in general.  I decided to pursue  Internet Web Design and began taking college courses. In 2001 I took on some web design contract work for a local company, which pushed me into starting Just Spiffy Web Design in 2002. I graduated with an Associated Degree in Internet Web Design in 2002 and have been designing web sites ever since.
 

Do you add Categories, Products and Text when Installing the template? TOP

No. You are responsible for "stocking your store" and personalizing it with your own text and content. If you use one of my approved webhosts, you will find this is very easy to do.
 
However, if you don't have the time or desire to stock your store, I can wholeheartedly recommend  www.webcontessa.com. Jeanetta is very professional and charges reasonable fees to do the daunting task of adding products to your store for you!

I have my own logo. Can you put it into the template for me? TOP
Yes. If you have your own logo you would like to use instead of the generic font logo that is included in the template we will be happy to install it into the template for you. Please note that if the logo has graphics that interfere with the design layout, you may be charged an additional fee for it's substitution as we may need to alter the original graphics.

Are layered Graphics or .psd formats for graphics included in my purchase? TOP
No. When you purchase a design from SpiffyBoutiques.com you are purchasing a limited license to use the HTML template code and graphics on the website you purchased it for. The graphics may not be used for anything other than what they are purchased for. We do offer Matching Solutions for your Ebay Store, Etsy Site, and print options. 

What is the time frame for installation? TOP

The current turnaround time for project installs is found on my welcome page. I will keep this updated and also include any closure announcements for vacations, etc.
 
It is important that you provide us with your Store Access information as soon as possible after your purchase to ensure that your installation stays on schedule.

Can I add products and text to my store while you are installing the design? TOP
Yes.  As soon as you have purchased your store and received your access information from the host, you may begin adding products and content. When I install the template, I will not alter any information you have added.

Can I resell my template to another party once I am done using it? TOP

If you purchase an OOAK Boutique Template from SpiffyBoutiques.com, and have used it then decided to change your look, you may list it on SpiffyBoutiques.com for re-sale. I will have a category called "Gently Used Templates".
 
You may sell the template for no more than the original sale price. A note will be placed on the listing that interested parties must contact the owner of the template directly to arrange purchase. I will not be involved in the sale.
 
If you have matching items that you purchased from SpiffyBoutiques.com you may include them in the sale ad as well, however, you may not list the total package for more than you purchased them for from SpiffyBoutiques.com
 
 

May I request Additional Features to my Template Purchase? TOP

Yes. My template designs show the very basic structure for your online boutique such as a section for the categories/products and a section for your site pages. However, I realize that you may be interested in having additional sections added on such as Featured Products, Search Box, Site Meter, etc.
 
Please just let me know what you'd like to see added to your store layout, and I will let you know if that is possible and if there will be an additional charge.

The template I am interested in has a 2 column layout, can I change that? TOP
Yes.  Most of my templates are designed using the basic 2 column layout. However, ANY design can be a 2 column or 3 column layout. Just Ask!

Will you add a No Right Click Script to my site to protect my product images, etc.? TOP
Yes, all templates include this. However, there are other ways of stealing your product images and site graphics, which I am unable to defend your site against. The best rule is to place your copyright info on your website, and watermark your product images.

Do you have references? TOP
Yes, they are available upon request.

I am new to having an online presence, do you have tips for me? TOP

Yes I do.
 
The main thing I cannot stress enough to my clients is to keep ALL your online Information safe. You are responsible for knowing who your Domain Name is registered with, and how to access your domain Account. Who your webhost is and how to access that account. Etc.
 
I also always recommend that after you have any professional work on your site, you change your passwords. This is to ensure that your files are always safe and to give your web developer peace of mind that you cannot accuse them of any file altering after their work is completed.
